The Sound of Music: Youth Edition
July 22nd @ 11am and 1:30pm
KSA Drama Room​
This year, the Junior Musical Theatre students at the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music will bring The Sound of Music: Youth Edition to life on stage! This inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

We Will Rock You Young Apart Version

Join the talented cast of the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music’s Intermediate Musical Theatre program as they bring We Will Rock You to life! We Will Rock You is a high-octane, adrenaline-fueled musical featuring more than 20 iconic Queen hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions,” “Somebody to Love,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and of course, “We Will Rock You.” Set in a post-apocalyptic future where individuality has been outlawed and music is controlled by algorithms, the story follows two young revolutionaries who dare to defy the system to save rock ‘n’ roll

Join the talented cast of the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music’s Senior Musical Theatre program as they bring SpongeBob the Musical to life! Plunge into this stunning all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic stage show! When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
T-Shirt Tuesdays!
Every Tuesday at KISSM, we ask that all participants and staff wear their KISSM T-shirts (they will be distributed on day 1 of the program). Not only does this create a sense of KISSM pride, but we often take official photos on Tuesday's and we love to see participants dressed for the occasion!
Wacky Wednesdays at KISSM!
Wacky Wednesday is a fun theme day that we hold every Wednesday during KISSM (the dates and themes will be listed below). While students are not required to dress up, we encourage all participants to join in on the fun and come dressed in the designated theme!

Every Thursday at KISSM this year will be Treat Thursday! As a fundraiser for our financial assistance program, we will be selling treats at lunchtime. There will be chips, pop, juice, water, freezies, candy and more! You will be able to find posters of items and prices at the message boards around the school.
