We are proud to offer a variety of music education and performance programs for children and youth!

Since 1978 the Kamloops Interior Summer School  of Music (KISSM) has been inspiring youth to follow their musical passions. Every July, students aged 5 to 18 attend our fun, interactive three week camp. With more than 50 classes, activities, and performances, KISSM offers a variety of instrumental and voice opportunities for kids. Join us!

The Kamloops Music Collective accepts donations of new or gently used instruments from the community and lends them to youth who may not be able to purchase their own. Modeled on successful  programs in larger urban areas, this community  initiative provides opportunities for Kamloops youth to learn and play a variety of musical instruments.

Whole Note is a community music program offered throughout the year to students who face financial barriers. Whole Note supports youth in 3 special ways—through free music lessons,  enrollment in the Kamloops Interior Summer  School of Music and opportunities to learn  from and perform with local music groups.

The Kamloops Music Collective offers a variety  of community outreach programs, year-round, including Tuba Christmas performances, Drumline instruction and performance, and KMC Workshops for all ages. We’re constantly working to identify new ways to bring music to our community. Have an idea? Contact us!

The Kamloops Music Collective (KMC) is a
non-profit organization that provides young musicians opportunities to learn, play and

perform music through a variety of programs,

and under the mentorship  of teachers and performers in the community.
