Winter 2021/2022 Programs
Tuba Christmas
Dates: November 21st and November 28th
Prerequisite: Tubas/ Euphoniums/ Baritone Horn Players
Rehearsals: November 21st 3:30-4:30pm at the Kamloops United Church (421 St Paul St)
November 28th 1:30-2:30pm at Remax Office Downtown (258 Seymour St)
Performance: November 28th, 3:45pm
Cost: $20 for adults, free for highschool students.

About Tuba Christmas:
The Kamloops Music Collective is pleased to be bringing Tuba Christmas back to Kamloops this holiday season! Tuba Christmas was conceived in 1974 by Harvey Phillips as a tribute to his teacher and mentor William J. Bell who was born on Christmas Day in 1902. We welcome any and all Tuba, Euphonium and Baritone Horn Players, who want to join in on this fun Holiday tradition!
Swag and Music Books available for purchase through the KMC. All participants receive a 2022 Tuba Christmas Pin!
Online Family Ukulele
Participants: This program is perfect for families with children over 7 years old (no experience needed)
Dates: Weekly lessons, between the weeks of January 24th to March 4th 2022
Time: Times will depend on teacher and family availability
Duration: 6 Weeks, 30 minute lesson once per week
Location: Online (Zoom)
Cost: $195 per family which includes a package of equipment and supplies that will be available for pickup from our office.
Equipment Deposit: $100 per family (refunded once equipment is returned). Each family will be supplied with ukuleles, stands and music sheets.

About the Program:
The Kamloops Music Collective is proud to introduce an opportunity that will allow families to experience music together! Our online family ukulele classes allow you to learn ukulele at home, as a family with expert instruction from master ukulele player, Tina Hebner.
All participating families will have a package made up for them which will include ukuleles, stands, and any other necessary materials. There will be a $100 refundable fee required at the time of registration to acquire this package. Upon return of the supplies, the money will be returned. Once the program is concluded we ask that families once again return the supplies to the Kamloops Music Collective Office.
After the registration is processed, we will be in touch to arrange the details!Each family will work with the instructor to book a weekly time slot for their lessons. Families will be encouraged to practice together throughout the week in preparation for their next lesson.
BAND Together at Valleyview Secondary School
An introduction to concert band!
Participants: This program is perfect for grades 6 and 7 students who want to learn a band instrument.
Dates: Fridays between January 14th and February 25th 2022. No session on February 4th, as it is an in-service day.
Time: 3:30 - 5:00
Location: Valleyview Secondary School Band Room
Cost: $60 program fee (snacks and instruments are provided)
