Set the Stage! Winter Performing Arts Camp
Dates: December 28th 2026- January 1st 2027
Prerequisite: In Grades 4 - 9, No experience necessary!
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm daily
Location: St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (1136 6th Ave.)
Cost: ​​​$350 (plus system processing fees)
**Please note that we have financial assistance applications open to anyone who feels that they cannot afford the full cost of the registration fee.

About the Program: Imagine a day filled with musical theatre, set design, musical games and friends! At Set the Stage! we teach musical theatre fundamentals that help students shine on stage and in all aspects of their lives. This camp is perfect for kids in grades 4-9, beginners are welcome!

This Winter Break, enroll the kids in a Performing Arts Camp that is modeled after our popular summer program, the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music! Kids who take part will get to explore many aspects of musical theatre and performance.

About the Show: Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

BAND Together at Valleyview Secondary School
An introduction to concert band!
Participants: This program is perfect for grades 6 and 7 students who want to learn a band instrument.
Dates: 6 Wednesdays from January 27th - March 3rd 2027
Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Valleyview Secondary School Band Room
Cost: $75 program fee (snacks and instruments are provided) + processing fees

About BAND Together: Valleyview Secondary School and the Kamloops Music Collective would like to invite grade 6 and 7 students to attend a program designed to introduce youth to concert band. This program is led by Jaymi Daniels, the Valleyview Secondary School band teacher. Ms. Daniels will also be supported by Valleyview's music students. This is a chance to explore the Valleyview Secondary School campus and band program! BAND Together also allows students to meet their future teacher, and other students who will be attending Valleyview Secondary in September 2027 and September 2028!​
