2 Great Ways to Introduce Your Child to Music

We have all heard about the benefits of music for kids, but have you ever wondered about the best way to get your child involved in their school music program? Well the Kamloops Music Collective has partnered with two local high schools to give you the answer: BAND Together!

BAND Together is an exciting new program that will be taking place at Valleyview and Westsyde Secondary Schools this Spring!

Open to kids in grades 6 & 7,

BAND Together is a 6-week introduction to Concert Band that is suitable for absolute beginners. This hands-on music program is a great way for kids to experience what local high school music programs have to offer, and meet new friends!

Included in the program:

• The use of an instrument for free during the six weeks

• 6 Weeks of concert band instruction from high school music teachers

• A $50 gift certificate to the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music

• A snack and drink each week

• And a chance to perform in the Squeak and Squawk concert
