What is Coffee Break for Kids?

The Kamloops Music Collective is excited to announce our newest fundraiser: Coffee Break for Kids on October 26th, 2018!

You can support music programming for local youth while enjoying a delicious box of treats provided by the chefs at  Gold Leaf Pastries! This fundraiser will bring together co-workers and friends and facilitate a conversation about music in our community, and the power it can have. 

 

Event Details

Date: Coffee Break for Kids will be taking place on October 26th

Time: When registering for Coffee Break for Kids, you will get to state your preference for delivery time for your box. The options will be from 9 -11 am, 11 am- 1 pm and 1 - 3 pm. While we will do our best to accommodate preferences, we cannot guarantee delivery times. 

Price: $20 per box (boxes are portioned for individual consumption) 

What you get: Your own box filled with.....

•  Salted caramel macaron, filled with caramel & salted caramel buttercream

• Fresh lemon cookie, this is made with fresh lemon zest rubbed into the sugar to bring the natural lemon flavor out.  

• Brown Butter Financier filled with raspberry jam, decorated with a music note

• A handwritten message from a local music student

• A bag of candy to share with a friend!

 

Specifics: To support Coffee Break for Kids, all you have to do is purchase a box for yourself or become a Coffee Break for Kids Leader. 

 

What is a Coffee Break for Kids Leader?: A Coffee Break for Kids leader is someone who chooses to be the organizer within a group. This person will encourage people to register, collect money and sign up their group using our registration form above. On October 26th, this person will be our main contact, and will help us make this day a success by delivering the boxes to the individuals, and putting on a pot of coffee or brewing up some tea for the participants!

In order to help provide easy access to Coffee Break for Kids boxes, we have partnered with local businesses to have our boxes available at their locations throughout the community on October 25th and 26th. The date/times and locations where you will be able to find our boxes will be as follows:

Thursday, October 25th

• Leon Johns: Available all day

• Red Beard Cafe: Available all day

• Reservoir Coffee: Available all day

• The Art We Are: Available from 11:30 - 2:30 pm

• Fratelli’s Foods: Available from 11:00 - 2:00 pm

• Save On Foods: Available from 3:00 - 6:00 pm

Friday, October 26th 

• The Art We Are : Available from 12:00 - 3:00pm

• Fratelli’s Foods: Available from 11:00 - 1:30 pm

• Zacks: Available from 3:00 - 6:00 pm

The Kamloops Music Collective is a non-profit organization that provides young musicians opportunities to learn, play and perform music through a variety of programs, and under the mentorship  of teachers and performers in the community.
