Bringing Music Back to Parkcrest

When news of the fire at Parkcrest Elementary came to light the staff at the Kamloops Music Collective knew that they could help. A fundraiser was started and we were able to quickly collect enough money from generous donors to purchase a full class set of Orff Instruments for the school!

Donations came from local businesses like Scorpion Technologies, local Music organization like the Kamloops Music Collective, The Kamloops Fiddlers and the Kamloops Community Band and many smaller donations from local citizens committed to supporting music education at the school! A donation was even received from proceeds from an Elementary Band Workshop that was hosted by students at Grand Forks Secondary School.

The Kamloops Music Collective is pleased to have been able to "pitch" in and lend a helping hand by organizing this successful fundraiser. Whether through community fundraisers like this one, or through our many programs for youth, we are committed to supporting young musicians in Kamloops.
