Set the Stage! this Fall
8 Week Program Beginning on October 16th!
The Kamloops Music Collective is excited to expand on our Set the Stage program to offer a Fall after school option. Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, we are not yet accepting registrations, but hope to open the registration form on September 1st.
Find Your Inner Performer!
This fall enroll your kids in our popular performing arts program Set the Stage! This course is for kids in grades 4-8 who are looking to strengthen their musical theatre skills both on and off the stage. The theatre portion will focus on techniques such as: preparation for auditions, mental tips and techniques that are useful during a production, character development, and script reading. Participants will have opportunities to demonstrate their skills in activities such as theatre games and partner scenes! Last but not least, one of the most important parts of a musical is the music! Students will have the opportunity to work on their vocal skills within the choral ensemble
Find Your Passion!
Set the Stage! is a unique opportunity for enthusiastic young performers to spend their Evenings among like minded friends, in a supportive and encouraging performance environment. Not only will Set the Stage! give our participants a chance to improve their performance skills, it will also allow them to explore various aspects of theatre.
Financial Assistance: The Boogie the Bridge Cultural Fund (BBCF) is a community-based cultural funding program established in 2005 providing grants for children ages 5 to 18 who are in need of financial assistance to have the opportunity to participate in cultural programs in Kamloops. Terms and Conditions
In light of the current circumstances we will not be taking payment for this program at the time of registration. However, once we have confirmed that the program will take place you will be invoiced for the full cost of the program. Your child's spot is only guaranteed once we have received payment.
There will be a limited number of spots in each of the one-week Summer Series programs.
In order to proceed with each of the one-week Summer Series programs, we need to meet a minimum registration threshold two weeks before each program’s start date. In the event that this threshold is not met, the program will be cancelled.
Given how quickly the situation is currently changing, we recognize that even if we collect payment and intend to proceed with the program, regulations could shift quickly and interfere with these plans. If payment has been received and we are forced to cancel, we will provide full refunds or credit for future programs
In the unfortunate situation where the program needs to be cancelled on short notice due to health concerns, registrants are entitled to either a full refund (in the event that the program has not commenced) or a prorated amount (if the program is cancelled part way through the week).
In the event that you wish to withdraw your child from a program after you have paid the registration fee, a processing fee of $75 will be deducted from the refunded amount.
Health and Safety
Due to recent concerns regarding COVID-19, we require children to be 100% healthy to attend the program. If your child has a fever or signs of a cold or flu, we will ask that they do not attend the program. If a child develops symptoms of an illness during the day that child will be removed from the class and staff will contact parent/guardian to come and pick the child up.
