Bob Eley
Bob is an ideal Community Catalyst for the Kamloops Music Collective because he is motivated by his personal beliefs and experiences about the benefits of music, educationally and socially. Bob’s own introduction to music came early in life, during high school band in Nelson, BC, where he began playing the Euphonium. After high school, he went on to attend a Bachelor of Music program at Douglas College. However, his career path turned him toward the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), where he worked in management and as a locomotive engineer for 40 years before retiring in 2008. During that time, his love for music did not wane and he continued to play the Euphonium in the Revelstoke Community Band and now plays tuba in the Kamloops Community Band and the Kamloops Rube Band. Bob directs this belief in the power of music into much needed support and invaluable promotion for our organization. He constantly spreads the word about the Kamloops Music Collective, and the work that we do, and shows his support at events whenever possible.

Kris McCleary
Kris was introduced to KISSM in 2015 when her children participated in the summer program. New to Kamloops, Kris was impressed by the camp format and the impact it had on her kids, who told her it was the most fun they had ever had at camp. She became involved with the Kamloops Music Collective Board soon after, and after serving on the board for a number of years became one of our Community Catalysts. Kris, who is originally from Southern California, is a project management professional with many years experience working with organizations in the natural resource and forestry sectors in BC and Alberta. She has a specific focus on governance issues and strategic planning. We are so grateful to have Kris as a supporter and advocate for the Kamloops Music Collective
